Servlet Engine Configuration

Specify your Servlet Engine Type by selecting one from the list. PTC PartsLink requires a Tomcat or Allaire JRun Pro servlet engine.

Once you have specified the servlet engine, you can select the Servlet Engine Home Directory by clicking the Folder button.

Web Server Information

Enter information in the following boxes:

• Web Server Network Address — Type the URL for the Web server (for example, troy.ptc.com).
• Web Server Port Number — Accept the default port number that appears for the Web server or type a new number.
• Web Server Type — Select the type of Web server from the list. PTC PartsLink supports Apache, Internet Information Server, and iPlanet. You must select a web server here.
• Additional Web Server Information — Enter the required Web Server specific information:
  • For Apache Web Server :
    • NT— Type the Service Name. The default is Apache.
    • UNIX — Type the full path to the Web Server Home.
  • For iPlanet Web Server, type the full path to the Https Directory Path, which is located within the Web server directory. For example, the entry https-mexico is used for a Web server named mexico.ptc.com.
  • For Internet Information Server, no additional information is required.
• Stop/Start server to complete the configuration — Select this check box to authorize PTC.Setup to restart your Web server when configuring your servlet engine.
