Define Installation Components

Define the components and subcomponents of your installation.

If you want to view descriptions about a specific component or subcomponent, highlight the field. Information appears in the Description field of the main window.

Caution: Prior to installing __INSTBLE__ software, you must have installed and configured Windchill Info*Engine and the necessary third-party products. For complete details about the required products and installation and configuration instructions, see the Windchill ProjectLink Installation and Configuration Guide.

Installation Directory

Enter the directory location where the __INSTBLE__ software is to be installed.

The directory must be the directory where you installed Windchill Info*Engine.

Note: The default Windchill Info*Engine installation directories are C:\ptc\Windchill on Windows systems and /opt/ptc/Windchill on UNIX systems.

Platforms

Select the types of the machines that are to access this installation directory.

Components

PTC recommends that you install all components:

• Windchill ProjectLink — Keep the default check mark to install the Windchill ProjectLink executable software.
• Collaboration Agent — Keep the default check mark to install this agent. The agent coordinates visualization collaboration sessions. A collaboration session allows multiple ProductView users to connect to a shared space in order to view 3D models, 2D drawings, and office documents.
• Visualization Demo Data — Keep the default check mark to install ProductView demonstration data.

Languages

By default, all Windchill ProjectLink-supported languages that are available are automatically installed.

Disk Space

The available disk space for the installation directory specified is shown in the (Disk Space) Available field.

The disk space required to install the components selected is shown in the (Disk Space) Required field.
