Define Installation Components

Define the components and subcomponents of your installation.

If you want to view descriptions about a specific component or subcomponent, highlight the field. Information appears in the Description field of the main window.

Installation Directory

Enter the directory location where the PTC DynamicDesignLink software is to be installed.

For new PTC DynamicDesignLink installations, the directory must be a new or empty directory. If you enter a path to a new directory, PTC.Setup creates the directory for you.

Note: The default WT_HOME installation directories are C:\ptc\DynamicDesignLink on Windows NT and /opt/ptc/DynamicDesignLink on UNIX systems.

Platforms

Select the types of the machines that are to access this installation directory.

Components

Select the components you want to install by selecting the appropriate check boxes.

• PTC DynamicDesignLink — Keep the default to install the core PTC DynamicDesignLink executable software.
• WorkGroup Manager for Pro/ENGINEER — Keep the default to install this utility that allows you to manage Pro/ENGINEER files.
• Uninstaller (Windows NT and Windows 2000) — Accept this checked component to download a utility that lets you remove your product.

Languages

English is automatically installed.

Disk Space

The available disk space for the installation directory specified is shown in the (Disk Space) Available field.

The disk space required to install the components selected is shown in the (Disk Space) Required field.
