Servlet Engine Configuration
Use this screen to do the following task:
- Configure your servlet engine with Apache.
Completing this task through PTC.Setup is optional. If you select the
servlet engine type of Other, the task is not done. In this case,
you do not need to fill in any other fields on the screen.
To configure your servlet engine with Apache, you must specify the following
value in the indicated field:
- Web Server Type—select
Apache 1.3.
In addition, you must fill in the other fields listed as described in
the text that follows.
Servlet Engine Configuration
- Servlet Engine Type—identifies
the type of servlet engine you have installed. Select either Tomcat
3.2 or JRun 3.0.
- Servlet Engine Home
Directory—defines the full path to your servlet engine.
Web Server Information
- Web Server Network
Address—identifies the network address of your Web server (for example,
troy.ptc.com).
- Web Server Port Number—is
the communications port number of your Web server.
- Web Server Type—identifies
the type of Web server you have installed (for example, Internet Information
Server 4.0 or 5.0).
- Server Home Directory—identifies
information that is required when the Web server type is Apache 1.3
or iPlanet 4.1:
- For the Apache 1.3 on Windows, enter the Service
Name for the Web server. The default service name is Apache.
- For the Apache 1.3 on UNIX, enter the full path
to the "Web Server Home".
- For iPlanet 4.1, enter the full https Directory
Path. The HTTPS directory is located within the Web server directory.
For example, the entry https-mexico is used for a Web server named mexico.ptc.com.
The Stop/Start server to complete the configuration check box
authorizes PTC.Setup to restart the Web server. If you select this check
box but PTC.Setup does not have the required permissions, you will need
to manually stop and start your Web server after PTC.Setup completes.
