Workgroup Manager Document Settings

In this window you will specify the Windchill cabinet to store your CAD documents and the template files used to create your CAD documents. The Windchill cabinet and template file information is written to the preference file associated with the CAD application.

Note: The template files do not apply to CADDS documents.

Windchill Document Cabinet Setting

Enter information in the following fields:

• Default Document Cabinet Name — Enter a cabinet name where the new CAD documents are to be located in Windchill. The specified cabinet or domain must exist in your Windchill database, and it must have the appropriate access rules.

  For additional information about Windchill Domains and folders, see chapter, Understanding Domains and Policies, in the Windchill Administration Guide. PTC recommends that the Domain you select supports vaulting for CAD documents.

Windchill CAD Template Files

If you are specifying settings for CADDS, you may skip this section. Enter information in the following fields:

• CAD Component Document Name — Enter the template file name that is used to create a new CAD document.
• CAD Assembly Document Name — Enter the template file name that is used to create a new assembly document
• CAD Drawing Document Name — Enter the template file name that is used to create a new drawing document
