You must choose the size of your Data Server database from the three available choices:
The first three sizes are predetermined by PTC based on many factors such as existing customer Pro/PDM databases, number of users, number of database transactions, etc. The size of the database you are about to choose is for the metadata only. This does not include the actual data files such as your Pro/ENGINEER parts, assemblies, and drawing files. They are stored in the File Vault(s).
The database size should be determined based on the number of objects, and their versions, that you expect to store within Pro/INTRALINK as well as the number of user-defined attributes that will be used for each object.
Pro/INTRALINK provides administration tools that enable you to expand your database if necessary.
Note: If you are converting data from Pro/PDM to Pro/INTRALINK, it is required that the Pro/INTRALINK Data Server be at least a Medium size database.
The next two tables provide data to help you determine the size of your Data Server.
