PTC PartsLink Properties
Use this window to configure your PTC PartsLink property settings. Depending on which options are selected, information is written to the properties files which reside in module-specific directories.
Configuration Properties
Enter information in the following boxes:
- RMI Registry Port This represents the port on which a remote object registry is started on the current host. Make sure the port you type here is not used for anything else on the current host. To find out which ports are used, open a MS-DOS window and type the netstat command as follows:
netstat -a
It is recommended that for the RMI (Remote Method Invocation) Registry, you do not use port numbers which are commonly used for something else. Be biased towards port numbers greater than 100, preferably greater than 10000.
- Java SDK Home Directory The location where the SDK is installed. Type the full path or click the Folder button and use the Choose Directory dialog box to specify the home directory.
Interface Ports
Enter information in the following boxes:
- Content Update This is the port that will be used to listen for PTC PartsLink content updates. Ensure that the port you type is not used for anything else on the current host.
Statistics
Enter information in the following boxes:
- Fiscal Year Start Date Select the month from the list to specify the date to begin gathering annual statistics for the PTC PartsLink product catalog.
- Maximum Statistics Storage Size Type a value for the disk space limit for statistics reporting on PTC PartsLink server activity. The value must be an integer measured in MB.
