By default, the database installation directory is located under the Oracle Configuration Utility home directory; however, it is recommended that you centralize the database files and place them in a directory under ORACLE_HOME.
Exclusively use external file vaults Select this option to store your large database objects in the operating system's file system instead of the database Blobs tablespace. When you select this option, less space is allocated for the Blobs tablespace (100 MB fixed size) in the database. When you select this option, the following displayed sizes are adjusted accordingly.
