Cross Sections

There are two differences between the ENGINE_COMPLETE.ASM and the one you created: The first is that there is a Cross Section pre-created for you, which will be used in the creation of the drawing.

Cross Sections allow you to define a 'cutaway' view of a part or assembly.

 

Task 4-2. Examine the cross section in the ENGINE_COMPLETE assembly.

  1. Start the View Manager from the main toolbar.
    • Select the Xsec tab and double-click A to view the cross-section.
    • Click Display > Visibility from the View Manager dialog box.

  1. Double-click on No Cross Section.
